There’s an after Parade gathering at the Cafe on the Beach from noon – 4 p.m. with live music, food and drinks at Holmes Beach.

The city of St. Petersburg will celebrate the July 4th holiday with its annual fireworks display on Firday, July 4. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m., weather permitting. They can start as early as 8:30 p.m. or as late as 10:00 p.m. due to impending weather conditions. The fireworks display will be visible all along the waterfront with prime viewing from Vinoy, North and South Straub Parks. Officials remind the public that there is no alcohol allowed or personal fireworks are permitted. If you plan to park, arrive early and park in legal parking lots and garages. Accessible parking for the disabled is offered along Beach Drive and in the North Shore parking lots and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Details: This is a free, family-friendly event with the goal of drawing a mass audience to the Channel District for the fireworks display.  The fireworks will be launched from a barge in the Garrison Channel, adjacent to Channelside Bay Plaza and The Florida Aquarium and can be seen throughout the City!  Over the past ten years this event has been able to create awareness of Tampa’s wonderful waterfront and attractions by bringing an estimated 30,000 in attendance. This event has become the largest fireworks display in the area!

Details: In honor of Independence Day, military personnel (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free on July 4-6, 2014.  The military member will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult with a valid military I.D. must accompany minors. Not valid with any other discounts or offers. Temple Terrace

Temple Terrace’s Independence Day Parade
Date: July 4, 2014 parade will be from 10 a.m. to noon., Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.
Location: (fireworks) Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, 200 Inverness Ave, Temple Terrace, FL 33617 [Map] Details: The parade will start at the corner of Whiteway Drive and Gillette Avenue. The parade will head south on Gillette, west on Druid Hills, then south on Ridgedale Road to the Ridgedale Sports Complex near Temple Terrace Elementary School. Evening festivities will start at 7 p.m. on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace Golf Course, between Belle Terre and Woodmont avenues. There will be a variety of food vendors, live music by the Cypress Creek Dixieland Band, face painting and a performance by Masque Community Theatre. Fireworks will light up the sky at 9:15 p.m. and can be viewed from the first fairway of the golf course.

Treasure Island/Madeira Beach
