St. Patrick’s Day Food Traditions and New Favorites

In honor of my heritage and our national holiday, I thought I’d share a few St. Patrick’s Day food recipes that my family has made almost every year since I was a kid. I also shared some Irish recipes that I make all year long and even an adults-only dessert that is amazing! If you’re looking to be Irish for a day or maybe you are blessed with the luck of the Irish, then try out these recipes on March 17th!

Corn Beef and Cabbage

Growing up every year on March 17th, my mom made Corn Beef and Cabbage, while I’ve never been a fan of cabbage, I do love some corned beef with spicy brown mustard every once in a while.

Irish Soda Bread

My mom makes this a few times a year. It’s one of those desserts that’s not overly sweet. But, you can dress it up or down depending on your taste buds. You can add jam or preserves for your sweet tooth or just add some butter for a tasty treat.

Some other options on St. Patrick’s Day include an oldie but a goody, Shepard’s Pie. Or one of my favorites all year long the Grasshopper Pie.

For an adults-only event, try this recipe for a Guinness Beer Ice Cream Float!
