TBM’s guide to patriotic parties all across the bay
This Monday, fireworks, barbeques, and sticky, sugary, blue and red covered kids will be popping up across the country. This circus of patriotism and community gathering marks the next celebration of our country’s independence. If you’re still looking for a way to celebrate, look no further! TBM has gathered some of the best star-spangled events across the bay into one list. 1.Mayor Jane Castor’s Boom By the Bay, Tampa:
Head on down to Tampa’s Riverwalk for a July 4th celebration like no other. Start at Armature Works for a Hot-Dog eating contest from 4:00 p.m- 4:30 p.m, followed by live music from 5 p.m- 9 p.m. At 9:15, the party lights up on the other end of the river at Sparkman Wharf. Re-named “Star-Spangled Sparkman” for the occasion, the Tampa staple for fun will be full of live music, games, and of course their signature restaurants with dishes to die for. 2.Hometown USA, Dunedin:
Check out “Hometown USA” at TD Ballpark in Dunedin for a whole festival of fun. Listen to a live performance by “Bay Kings Band” from 7-9 p.m or catch a screening of “Angels in the Outfield” from 7:15-9:15 p.m. And of course, wrap up all this fun with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. This is a FREE event with concessions and activities for everyone in the family. 3.Clearwater Celebrates America, Clearwater:
Celebrate independence with the city of Clearwater this year! Baycare Ballpark hosts Clearwater’s annual 4th of July celebration with a concert from the “Black Honkeys”, classic American barbeque fare, a “giant fireworks show” and “fun activities for children of all ages.” The event offers ticket options for reserved seating at the ballpark or standing and sitting room on the field. 4.Red White and Bee You Party: Fourth of July Celebration, Palm Harbor:Join Little Explorers of Palm Harbor for a “Red, White and BEE-YOU!” party!
