Hernando Beach Yacht Club annual Christmas boat parade will be held on Friday, Dec 4, 2015 leaving our dock at 6:30 p.m. It will be traveling down Marlin canal, Cheeks Creek canal and return, then Tarpon canal ending at the boat ramp. You are invited to participate. Decorate your boat. Awards to be given. Entry fee is one unwrapped child’s toy. Registration will be open Dec 2 and Dec 3 from 3-6 pm at our clubhouse at 4163 Shoal Line Blvd. You are invited to view the parade from our deck or dock. Come and enjoy hot dogs, drinks, and some Christmas cheer. Our clubhouse will be open from 5 pm until after all boats have returned and awards announced.
Illuminated Boat Parade/There’s Snow Place Like Tarpon | Friday, December 4th starting at 4:00-9:00 pm
Historic Downtown Tarpon Springs
The boat parade comes into Spring Bayou around 8:00 pm, as always, but we now have live reindeer, falling snow, food, vendors, carriage and hay rides! With the full three blocks of fun, from Ring Avenue to Spring Bayou and down Safford Street. The kids’ area will also have Christmas movies, as well as inflatables, games, food and a lot of fun!
The 26th Annual Boat Parade will be held on Friday, December 4th, following Snow-Place Like Tarpon Springs. Vessels will proceed down the Anclote River and into the bayous where Santa will give out treats to the children in Spring Bayou. There is no charge to participate, but all vessels must be registered to enter. Registration forms may be obtained at the City Marina and at the Recreation Division administrative office. Trophies will be awarded to the best decorated boats. Call 942-5628 for more details. Best viewing is from Craig Park/Spring Bayou. Boats enter Spring Bayou between 8:30 and 9pm.

Island Estates Yacht Club Holiday Lighted Boat Parade | December 12th, 6:30 p.m.

Free | The decorated boats will assemble in Mandalay Channel located between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the lead boat will proceed northward through Mandalay Channel. Then the parade will weave in and out of many of the Island Estate canals before heading over to Coachman Park around 8:00 p.m. From there the boats will go under the Memorial Causeway Bridge turning into the Clearwater Marina Channel before navigating to the Clearwater Yacht Club. Cash and gift certificate prizes, donated by many area businesses, will be awarded to the best decorated boats. There is no parade entry fee. Free | The 16th Annual Hillsborough River Holiday Boat Parade happens Sunday, December 13th. All boaters and paddlers of canoes, kayaks, etc. in the Tampa Bay area are invited to JOIN the FUN at the Boat Parade for everyone! Paddlers and boaters are needed to help create this FREE community event, sponsored for the 16th consecutive year by Friends of the River. This annual community tradition celebrates another year of life in a city with a restored, beautiful river running through it. This event begins and ends at 2 City of Tampa Parks: Begins at Lowry Park Boat Ramp. The Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade is an annual favorite. Beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 19 at the Holiday Inn Harbourside in Indian Rocks Beach, boats of all sizes join in this parade. The parade begins at the Holiday Inn Harbourside and continues north through the coastal canals ending at Harbor Drive North. During the Victorian Christmas Stroll, visitors explore the museum transformed by Christmas trees ranging in height from a few inches to more than 14 feet, 40,000 lights and hundreds of feet of garland. Decorations include vintage fashions, antique toys, hand-painted ballet pointe shoes and fanciful ornaments.
