What is Happy Hearts Art Studio?
Happy Hearts is an art studio in New Port Richey, Florida. We offer paint your own pottery, classes, workshops, parties, and camps. As of recently, we have been providing pottery and mosaic kits to go in order to serve our customers during the pandemic.
What inspired you to open Happy Hearts Arts Studio?
I decided to open my studio after teaching in public schools for over 15 years. I wanted an opportunity to mesh my love of art and teaching. My family and I decided to embark on this journey of becoming an entrepreneur and I jumped in head first! Our studio is almost one year old and is constantly evolving.
How is your family involved in running the business?
As I am the primary person involved in running the business, I take on all of the functions of creating teaching the content, developing the marketing materials, and pushing them out on various platforms. My husband and I combine forces when we host birthday parties and off-site events!
What are your time management tips for busy parents running their own businesses?
I definitely multitask all the time, however, some time management tips that I can share for busy working moms are make sure you have a serious checklist. I use a Trello board. This is a free platform that allows you to manipulate tasks on a board as they become complete. I have sections on the board for different tasks including personal, business, new business, larger tasks, travel, health kids, and future goals. I highly recommend this tool.
One thing you want Tampa Bay area families to know about your company.
I would love to share that we are offering summer camps right now both in-person camps in our studio and take home camp kits as well.
In the near future, Happy Hearts Art Studio will be adding another leg to our business. A new brand, the name is Paul Gerard Co. and we will be creating curated gift boxes. Our boxes will appeal to both men and women and specifically corporate clients. We will be creating our own line of small bath soy candles as well.
