Mom Connections:: Tampa Bay Neighborhood Mom Groups
The primary goal in creating Tampa Bay Moms Blog was to connect moms online, as well as offline through playdates and events. We know that being a mom is the most rewarding job we can do, but it’s also the hardest. We all need some support now and then from others who know just what we are going through!
To help incorporate more intimate ways for moms to connect with one another we created Neighborhood Groups to not only help you learn more about your specific neighborhood, but also to help facilitate playdates and mommy meet ups. Whether you’re a new mom, new to the city, or just want to meet new friends, our hope is that these groups will help you connect with other moms in your area.
In order to keep the Neighborhood Groups active, we are looking for a Mombassador for each group. The Mombassador will be a leader for each area to help with coordinating gatherings, because YOU know your neighborhood best. This is a great way to get and stay connected with moms right in your own neighborhood!
What You Give
-A 6-month commitment. However, you can feel free to continue in the Mombassador role as long as you like!
-Organize one meet-up per month. You are always welcome to do more. Meet-ups are casual and can be organized at places you already frequent such as the library, zoo, park, coffee shop, etc.
-Create and post events in your specific Neighborhood Group Facebook page. Invite group members to events.
What You Get
-Access to a private Mombassador Facebook group. This is a great place to bounce ideas off other Mombassadors and to combine neighborhoods for larger gatherings if desired. Access to Tampa Bay Moms Blog admin staff for questions and support.
-Opportunities to connect with other moms in your area.
-Fun! This is a chance to form long-lasting friendships for yourself and your children.
