Mostly 1’s: Rise-and-Run Shopper
You set your alarm for an ungodly time so you can beat all the early birds to the best sales. You. Will. Not. Lose.
Liza’s Advice: “If you need a TV and are not brand specific, you will get a great deal on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Some of the brands that are marked down the most, though, are not mainstream brands that have the best ratings. So in that sense, you are getting a TV for cheap that may not last too long. (Make sure you buy an extended warranty.)”
-
Mostly 2’s: Social Sista
Yes, the sales are fabulous, but so are your girlfriends. First stop, quiche, and mimosas at your favorite breakfast place. Next, you hit one of many local boutiques pushing their own sales. You go home with a shabby chic side table and a sexy pair of earrings.
Liza’s Advice: “Smaller stores don’t usually have as big of budgets as box stores so the markdowns may not be as great – however, you can still save money and get great prices. What I would recommend is to ‘like’ your favorite local stores on Facebook and sign up to receive their emails. Then, watch for their Black Friday announcements. Sometimes they will email out coupons you need to print out and bring with you.”
-
Mostly 3’s: Last-Second Dasher
You meant to make a list of the hot deals, but Thanksgiving was crazy busy. You dash out to your favorite big-box stores and snag that video game system your kids want for Christmas.
Liza’s Advice: “Start stalking your favorite smaller stores now to prepare for Black Friday. If they don’t email you or post anything on Facebook, call them the day before Thanksgiving and ask if they are having Black Friday sales to avoid making a wasted trip.”
-
Mostly 4’s: Parking-It-Pretty Shopper
You park it on the couch on Black Friday to savor a well-deserved rest. You may run out mid-afternoon to check out the sales or just for a breath of fresh air.
Liza’s Advice: “I work almost 24/7 all of Black Friday through Cyber Monday blogging about online deals so if there is something I really need, I will buy it online, take advantage of free shipping, and stay in my pajamas all day long.”
Happy shopping, ladies.
