Let’s be honest, moms definitely need a night out to let loose and have fun. Ladies’ night out doesn’t have to end because you’re a mom. It’s okay to take time for yourself without feeling guilty. We work hard and deserve a night out to bond with friends. Here’s 5 ideas for a fun mom’s night out in the Tampa Bay area.
1. Comedy Club
Laughter is good for the soul. This is a great way to spend some time with the ladies while forgetting some of the struggles of motherhood. You can check out the Tampa Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre, Side Splitters Comedy Club or Spitfire Theater for a great show. Check out Groupon or LivingSocial for some great deals.
2. Cooking Class
Gather all of your close friends or moms you met at a playgroup and try out a cooking class. You can take a private class (which can be expensive) or sign up for one at a local store, like Publix. There’s different themes as well as options for hands-on or just a demonstration. Check out Sur La Table or Plated for some awesome cooking classes.
3. Craft Night
Host a fun craft night at someone’s house or you can check out a local studio. I’m sure there are things you found on Pinterest that you would love to make but never have the time. You can make it a theme night or bring any items you want to turn into a masterpiece. Check out AR Workshop, a studio that offers hands-on classes for creating custom home decor like framed signs and canvas pillows. There’s locations throughout the Tampa Bay area. I had the pleasure of attending a class with some of the writers for Tampa Bay Moms Blog and I had a great time.
4. Fitness Class
Finding time to workout can be hard especially when you’re a mom. Check out some local gyms or fitness studios to sweat out some stress. You can try a pole dancing class at Buttercup Pole Dance (bring sexy back) or yoga in the park at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. The larger the group the more fun you’ll have while working out. Also, some studios offer a free class for your first visit.
