Calling all Irish and Irish at heart! Gather your green beads, don your silly hats, and join us for a look at family-friendly things to do for St. Patrick’s Day in Tampa Bay. There’s plenty of green-hued fun to be had.

Just remember – if Mom or Dad enjoys an adult beverage, make sure someone sticks to soda. Please do not drink and drive.

Mayor’s River O’Green

Saturday, March 14, 11 a.m.
Curtis Hixon Park, Downtown Tampa
The Hillsborough River turns kelly green for a day in what has quickly become the area’s signature St. Patrick’s Day event. Grab a beer and some grub, find a spot o’ green on the lawn, and catch live Irish music. With games and activities for the kids, family and adult scavenger hunts, and of course, the spectacle of watching the river turn a bright shade of green, it’s a hint of the Emerald Isle right here in Tampa Bay.

River O’Green Gallop, a 2-mile fun run/walk along the Tampa Riverwalk. Day-of registration starts at 8:30 a.m., and the run/walk steps off from Curtis Hixon Park at 9:30 a.m.

St. Patrick’s Day Pirate Water Taxi

Downtown Tampa/Davis Islands
They say getting there is half the fun, and a ride on the Pirate Water Taxi proves it! Hop aboard for a ride to Curtis Hixon Park and get a close-up look at the green water of the Hillsborough River on St. Patrick’s Day in Tampa. Each passenger gets free beads, and beer and wine are available for purchase onboard.

Paddyfest Family Fun Day

Start your Paddy’s Day celebration a week early with a family fun blowout at Irish 31’s Westchase location. They’ll have games, music, face painting, and a visit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fan Experience.

Paddyfest events continue all week long with a Kids Coloring ContestShamrock Shuffle Runs, and FlipCup Tournament. It all leads up to the main event, the Paddyfest Street Festival in Tampa’s Hyde Park Village on St. Patrick’s Day.

O’Keefe’s St. Patrick’s Tent Festival

In Pinellas County, O’Keefe’s has been serving up Irish-themed fun for years. This year’s St. Patrick’s Day party features family-friendly activities like costume contests, rock painting, and bagpipers and Irish dancers. Get there early, nosh on corned beef and cabbage, and enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day in Tampa Bay!

Dunedin St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

You’d expect a city with its very own pipe band to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a big way, and you’d be right! Flanagan’s Irish Pub hosts a street party complete with food trucks, Irish art and vendors, live music and Irish dancers. On St. Pat’s morning, get ready for all that Irish food with the St. Patrick’s Day Run through downtown Dunedin. You can choose from a 5k, or 1-mile fun run, or complete the Leprechaun Challenge and do all three.
