Yogurtology…the art + science of frozen yogurt, they are not kidding! If you’ve never had a chance to indulge in the yumminess that is Yogurtology, here’s your chance! Let’s start off with the immaculately clean and modern set up that greets you as you enter…white couches and chairs just beckon you to relax and enjoy. There is serenity just within the decor.

As you walk towards the self-serve wall of 12 delicious flavors of yogurt and sorbet (that is rotated out on a weekly basis), friendly Yogurtologists will offer you samples of any flavor you’d like to try. Deliciousness ranges from fruit inspired to chocolate to anything in between including pistachio, birthday cake, and salted caramel. (Did I mention, yum?!)

As you go to grab a cup, it is then that you realize, not only are there toppings, but bottomings as well! What, you ask, is a bottoming? You layer the bottom of your cup with treats like brownies, waffles, cookies, and more, of course!

Once your cup is full of a bottom layer and one or many types of yogurt, you spy the toppings…the glorious toppings that smile out at you from the stainless steel buffet. Fruits like strawberries, blackberries, cherries…marshmallows, mochi (believe me…try this!), chocolate chips, carob chips, white chocolate chips…and seemingly endless types of candy, from gummy bears and giant bubble gum balls, to snickers chunks, coconut and cereal….the possibilities are endless. Hence the idea, that Yogurtology is the art and science of yogurt.

And rumor has it that some of our very own Tampa Bay Rays players frequent the South Tampa location (as witnessed by this very blogger), so if you’ve got stars in your eyes, and baseball in your blood, the Yogurtology in South Tampa just might be the place to pick up a cool refreshing treat!
