Mother’s Day Cruise on the Lost Pearl

Aye, ’tis Mother’s Day this eighth day of May. Batten down the hatches and bring mom on a cruise that’s fun for all the little buccaneers. Child and adult beverages are already free at sea, but there’s some extra bounty in it for ye mom – she’ll get free champagne from our grog bar and ye boarding photo for free.

Mothersday Weekend on the Farm

May 8th @ 9:00am – 9:00pm

Raprager Family Farms – 16907 Boy Scout Road, Odessa 33556

Bring mom this weekend for the grand opening of The Wholesome Hen, a farm to table kitchen concept in the country. All produce sourced from local farms including ours. Hours are Friday, from 11am to 9:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 9pm. Tickets are NOT required to enter the farm. If you can’t stay to eat, swing by to get some delicious homemade fudge or farm fresh eggs for mom. Be sure to check out the progress we’ve made on our ⅓ acre butterfly garden and meet our new Scarlet Macaw “Kiko.”

If you have been here before, we have made some important changes. You no longer need to purchase tickets to enter the farm during non-festival times. The common areas of the farm will now be free to the public during our open hours. This includes the Wholesome Hen (breakfast, lunch and dinner), the Sweet Shop (fudge, cinnamon roasted nuts, ice cream and coffee), the corn pit, Fort Merlin, yard games, and the butterfly garden. Wrist bands are available for purchase online or in person to access our other activities which include the animal pasture petting zoo, 80’ bounce pillow, 40’ hay chute slide, hayride, and newly planted fruit orchard.

Come enjoy the sights and sounds of the country at Raprager Family Farm. There is something for the whole family!

Riverfest

Riverfest is a public, two-day, free event that is held the first weekend in May each year.  The festival spans the entire length of the Riverwalk including several parks and features family-friendly activities and events showcasing Tampa’s cultural institutions, local musicians and restaurants.  The festival includes Taste of Riverwalk on Friday night and TacoFest on Saturday.  There is also a full concert series of local bands on the main stage in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and a balloon glow at sunset both nights.  Other activities include a wiener dog derby, a lantern parade, yoga and a paddle invasion.
