Check Out The Top 8 Ways to Celebrate Fall in Florida

Fall in Florida is quite different compared to other states. We don’t get to experience the change of seasons with rich, colorful fall foliage. So, how do you enjoy the fall season when it’s 80 to 90 degrees outside? Fortunately, there are plenty of things you can do to celebrate autumn. Check out the top 8 ways to celebrate fall in Florida.

Decorate Your Home with Fall Decor

Start with your front door display then work your way inside. Purchase imitation leaves, decorative pumpkins or fall-inspired pillows and throws. Change out those bright towels and decor for more darker tones. Love crafting? This is the best time to use those skills.  Check Pinterest or design magazines for inspiration.

Attend a Fall Festival

There are so many festivals and events, especially in the Tampa Bay area. You can check out the Hyde Park Fall Festival or Crystal River Scarecrow Fest. We will have a complete guide of all the local festivals soon.

Head to your local Bath & Body Works, Target or home shopping store and stock up on fall candles. Light a few around the house to set the mood for fall. Make sure they are out of the reach of young children.

Have a Drink

Stop by a local coffee shop and order a fall-inspired beverage. We also have plenty of breweries in the Tampa Bay area that offer seasonal beers.  I’m not a fan of either, so I like to enjoy apple cider.

Wear Fall Colors

Fall fashion may look different in Florida but we can still rock those beautiful colors. The stores are filled with short sleeve shirts, dresses, and pants that are perfect for fall.

Start Baking

Find some easy recipes on Pinterest or reserve a cookbook from your local library. This is the perfect time to bake cookies, pies, cobblers, and cake.

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Just because it feels like summer, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fall activities! There are plenty of pumpkin patches in the Tampa Bay area. Many of these farms include other activities such as corn mazes and hayrides.

Fall means it’s football season. We are season pass holders for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as USF Bulls. The weather may not feel like fall but the atmosphere is amazing. You can arrive early to tailgate or enjoy some kid-friendly activities.
