10 Delicious and Simple Kid-Friendly Big Game Food Ideas

The biggest game of the year is fast approaching. Some people throw amazing parties and others choose to stay home. Whatever you are doing hopefully your kids will cooperate and join in on the fun with you. To keep the kids happy this year try out these 10 kid-friendly Big Game food ideas that are sure to please your little ones and even the adults too!

Appetizers

Ranch Dip

Let me start by saying that sometimes the simplest is the best. My kids are addicted to dipping. They love the idea of dipping chips or veggies into a dip. I’ve gotten fancy ones but ultimately they one they love is super simple ranch dip.

I kid you not, I get this Ranch packet and mix with some sour cream and throw out some pretzels, chips, and veggies and it’s always perfect.

Football Cheese Platter

In my house we can’t go wrong with cheese and meat. My super picky children love salami and cheese. So while All Created shows pepperoni, I’m probably subbing out with salami because my children say pepperoni is too spicy. Savages I KNOW!

It’s pretty simple you work your way from the inside out building the football cheese platter.

Football Fruit Tray

You can’t go wrong when you shape everything like a football, right? I came across Desert Chica‘s post about a Football Fruit Tray and thought exactly! Check off a mom win for putting something healthy on the table during the party. Again I have to modify for my picky eaters and probably substitute the honeydew for grapes.

Main Attraction

Ham and Cheese Sliders

I literally make these for 90% of parties that I host because they are super delicious but also seem a little fancy. These are also a huge crowd-pleaser. I have to triple my recipe to accommodate. Celebrations at Home does not disappoint with these masterpieces and they are super simple to put together. I mean Hawaiian bread sliders put a few slices of honey ham and cheddar cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes and add this amazing glaze!

Texas Toast Garlic Bread Pizza

Easy peasy lemon squeezy as my 5-year-old likes to say, that’s the trend with all of these. I mean who doesn’t love pizza, my 2.5-year-old that’s who, but you can’t please everyone. So….here’s a simple option that pleases….most.

Take some texas toast, add the pizza sauce and put some cheese and whatever other pizza toppings you’d like and put in the oven for 5-8 minutes. Thanks, JODEZE HOME AND GARDEN for making it that simple!

Touchdown Brownies

Betty Crocker doesn’t disappoint with these football-shaped brownies. They’ve got some tips to help you get the football shape but obviously a football cookie cutter is essential.

Football Rice Krispy Treats

Admittedly, I’m terrible at making Rice Krispy treats but these look so cool maybe I’ll give it another try. But That’s What Che Said also has an alternative recipe for the same idea but done with watermelon, so there’s always that as a backup.

Football Ice Cream Sandwich

Because we all need more chocolate in our lives, here’s a simple take on an ice cream sandwich. Just take some icing and put some laces on it. If you’re feeling really creative put a knife into the bottom and then the wooden spoons to create a handle and special effect. For special serving recommendations to avoid melting check out the Celebration Shoppe.
